How long does it take to build?
The AirCam is a quick build kit and we have people that can get one built in 650 hours and others it will take 1650 hours. A could estimate on time would be around 1100 hours. We do have a Super Quick Build Kit available where the fuselage is complete and ready for paint.
Must I buy the whole kit at one time?
We ask you to purchase the air frame kit first and when you are ready for the engines you purchase the engine package, that way you get current engines.
What is the max weight for the front seat?
The front seat passenger should not weigh more than 340 pounds.
How long does it take to get an AirCam after I purchase it?
We can ship one in around 30 days after we receive payment.
When are you going to finish the enclosure?
The enclosure is at Plane Plastics and should be ready around the fourth quarter.
How much fuel does the AirCam hold?
The AirCam has a 14 gallon tank for each engine and at 60 mph burns 3 gallons per hour 1 ½ per side.
What kind of floats can I install on my AirCam?
We have engineered the AirCam for Clamar and Montana floats.
Where can I get a demo ride?
We like our customers to visit us in Sebring so we can show you the factory and offer a demo at the same visit.
How many AirCam owners are there?
There are around 135 flying at the present time and around 15 or so under construction.
Can I install a different engine other then Rotax?
The AirCam was engineered for the Rotax 912S engine and it works the best.
How high can I fly the AirCam?
We fly the AirCam over unpopulated areas several hundred feet above the ground. We have flown from sea level to 10,000 feet.
Can I get my multi engine in the AirCam?
You can get your multi engine rating in your AirCam but you must demonstrate your ability to feather a prop in a complex type airplane and have a log book entry.
How tall must my hanger be to accommodate an AirCam on floats?
The hanger should have a 14 Ft opening.
